Runcorn 32 Sefton 28

Sefton almost snatched victory late on with Mark Tyms and Phil Evans going near. Tony Ayres(2), Alex Williams, Danny Wynott and Tony McKibbon scored tries for the winners with Wynott landing one penalty and one conversion and Lee Thomas a conversion.

Weakened Sefton scored tries through Phil Osborne(2) and Ian Burns with Phil Evans kicking three penalties and two conversions.

Best for the winners were Williams, Wynott and Ayres while Wayne and Phil Osborne along with Paul Wynne were unable to prevent Sefton's fading Cheshire/South Lancashire Division Three promotion challenge.

Sefton 15 Halton 17

An injury time try by winger Gary Kelly gave Halton victory after Sefton had led this Cheshire/South Lancashire Division Three clash. It was Kelly's second with John Parker scoring their other and Steve Mellor adding a conversion.

Sefton's tries came through Stu Bailey and Mark Tyms with Wayne Osborne adding a conversion and a penalty.

Sefton 32 Marple 16

A man of the match performance by Paul Wynne, fine performances by Jamie Cuthbertson on his debut and David Mobbs, plus a superb solo try by skipper Jamie Luck were the Sefton highlights in this easy Cheshire/South Lancashire Division three win.Peter McBride, Cuthbertson and Gareth Rogerson scored the other tries and Wayne Osborne knocked over three conversions and two penalties.

Congleton 15 Sefton 18

Sefton did well to win this Cheshire/South Lancashire Third Division clash after coming back from 15-5 down.

Sefton's tries were scored by Phil Evans and Phil Osborne. Evans added two penalties and a touchline conversion.
