Moore 19 Sefton 20

Sefton lead 14-nil at the break in this first round of the Tetley Vase

with a try from Stu Bailey. The Gentlemen of Moore rallied in the second-half but penalties by Phil Evans and a drop goal by Wayne Osborne saw Sefton into the next round.

Sale Amateurs 9 Sefton 0

Sefton will want to forget this game as defeat cost them ground in the Cheshire/South Lancashire Division Three title chase.
