Sefton 17 Littleborough 7

Sefton advanced into the Lancashire Plate semi-final with a comfortable victory over Littleborough. The tries came from Mark Tyms, Dave Stanistreet and Andy Walsh, with Wayne Osborne kicking a conversion.

Sefton 19 Oswestry 10

The newly installed floodlighting at Sefton enabled this game to finish as diabolical dark and wet conditions closed in. Sefton went top of South Lancashire/Cheshire Division Three against the title challengers with two tries by Mark Tyms and a dancing Wayne Osborne also crossed. Phil Evans added two cons to notch up 100 points for the season.

Halton 15 Sefton 37

Having not won there since 2001 Sefton stayed top of the league with a fine win. Tries came from Mike Wilkinson, Wayne Osborne and Peter McBride back from injury. Phil Evans added four conversions and three penalties. The referee gave Sefton a penalty try for constant infringement.

Sefton v Newton-le-Willows

Newton cried off just one hour before kick-off claiming lack of front-row. They lose two points and the game will be replayed at a later date.

Moore 5 Sefton 40

A captain's knock of thirty points by Wayne Osborne consisted of a hat-trick, three conversions, a penalty and two drop-goals. Hard working back-row Mark Tyms also crossed, as did substitute Dave Edwards.

Sefton 20 Collegiate OB 6

Division Three leaders Sefton took the derby 20-6 against Collegiate. Phil Evans scored a try, two conversions and two penalties. Wayne Osborne also went in while Simon Watt hit a brace of penalties for the losers.

Sefton 37 Douglas 0

Sefton whipped Douglas 37-0 in Division Three to stay on course for promotion. Dave Stanistreet crossed twice and Wayne Osborne, Colin Pascoe and Dave Edwards. Phil Evans added two conversions, a penalty and a drop goal.
