11 Sefton 8A penalty five minutes from the end robbed battling Sefton of the Cheshire/Lancashire South League draw they deserved.
Man of the match Roy Spencer (it was John Stitt actually) was the Sefton try scorer with a Phil Evans penalty making it 8-8 at the interval. Just when it looked as though Sefton had earned a draw came that penalty.
