Skipper Andy Walsh, Matt Thomas and Kevin Byrne were in great form as Sefton collected both Cheshire/Lancashire South League points.

The reliable Paul Evangelides picked up 15 points with a try, 2 penalties and 2 conversions.

Walsh and Thomas scored tries and Mark Peers replied with a penalty.

Sefton have now won their last four games, averaging 30 points.

Sefton raced to their biggest win in 10 years to earn a place in the Tetley Vase second round.

Lee Warwick went in for a hat-trick of tries, with the rest coming from Wayne Osborne (2), John Stitt and Ian Burns. Paul Evangelides landed six conversions and two penalties.

A tip-top team performance gave Sefton a convincing Cheshire/South Lancashire victory with their match winning tries coming from Graeme Jones, skipper Andy Walsh and Wayne Osborne. Paul Evangelides added a penalty and a conversion. Sefton had fought back from a 10 point deficit with Shell opening brightly and scoring a try through Phil Gow with Kevin Mason converting and landing two penalties.
