Sefton raced to their sixth victory in seven games to leap-frog Congleton into joint fourth place in the Cheshire/ South Lancashire Second Division.

Matty Thomas (2) and Graeme Jones scored the Sefton tries with Frank Harper kicking his first ever conversion for the first team.

Oldershaw 5 Sefton 3

Centre William Gardner scored the vital try for Oldershaw as 14 man Sefton struggled without injured skipper Andy Walsh.

Sefton led 3-0 at the interval thanks to a Robin Earwaker penalty but it wasn't enough.
