Parkonians 12 Sefton 31

Classy Sefton controlled this friendly and scored top class tries through Brian Gardner (2), Billy Coulter, debutante Stuart Bailey and Paul Wynne with Wayne Osborne adding three conversions.

Darren Hughes scored two interception tries for Parkonians with Mark Hillen landing a conversion.

 

Halton 17 Sefton 21

Sefton just had the edge in this friendly thanks to a two-try display by skipper Andy Walsh with Wayne Osborne adding the conversion and three penalties.

Walsh, Gareth Rogerson and Paul Wynne were Sefton's best while Duncan Curphey starred for Halton with a try and a conversion with Andy Rhodes and Paul van der Merwe adding further tries.

 

Chorley 9 Sefton 19

Paul Wynne led the pack as Sefton marched into the second round of the Junior Knockout Cup with a 19-9 win at Chorley.

Dave Neary scored the only try, converted by Phil Evans, while Wayne Osborne kicked four match winning penalties.
