Sefton mourn the death of long standing chairman Brian Eden

Ruskin Park 12 Sefton 10

Despite scoring the only try of the game to lead 10-9 a minute from time, Sefton could not hold on against the Division Three leaders climbed to victory in injury time.

Richard Francis and Andy Sheehan impressed for Sefton whose points came from a Brian Gardner try, a Wayne Osborne conversion and a Phil Evans penalty.

Hoylake 20 Sefton 5

Hoylake marched into the Powergen Junior Vase third round after Sefton had take an early lead through a try by Richard Francis.

Spurred on by a strong pack and full-back Mike Young, Hoylake hit back with tries by Young, Ben Flint and Neil Parsley with Simon Robinson adding a penalty and a conversion.

Collegiate OB 10 Sefton 7

Collegiate just shaded this clash between the top two in Cheshire South Lancashire Division Three thanks to a Chris Jones try converted by Dave McNamara who added a penalty.

Sefton were always in the game but could only manage a Paul Walker try and a Phil Evans conversion.

 

Sefton 22 Wallasey 7

Eddie Nichols teamed up with his dad Eddie senior to provide the spark for a comfortable Cheshire South Lancashire Division Three win.

Sefton scored tries through Nichols senior, Richard Francis and Wayne Osborne, with Phil Evans kicking two conversions and a penalty.

 

Sefton 25 Broughton 5

Sefton galloped into the Lancashire Plate Second Round thanks to a 15 point contribution from Phil Evans.

He scored a try, two penalties and two conversions to carry him past the 100-point mark for the season.

John Stitt marked his return with a try and Richard Francis also crossed for his fifth try of the season.
