Eccles 30ish Sefton 19

With many players still on holiday for this Lancashire Plate first round game, Sefton struggled to keep with the hosts. Tries by Wayne Osborne (2) and Matty Thomas were not enough.

Oswestry 3 Sefton 6

In total contrast to the title clincher from last season in which Sefton were blown away, this low scoring season opener was highlighted by a 45 yard penalty goal by Phil Evans (75 when he is inebriated).

Sefton v Orrell Anvils

Due to the shortage of players and internal strife it looks like Orrell have withdrawn from Lancashire South / Cheshire Division Two.

Sefton 39 Windermere 19

It took two quick fire tries from the visitors to spark Sefton into life in this EDF Senior Vase Preliminary round match.

Wayne Osborne led the way with two tries, Tom Fletcher, John Evans and John Fenton also crossing. Phil Evans added four conversions, a penalty and a drop goal.

Sefton 19 Ruskin Park 46

Sefton were on the wrong side of a 46-14 scoreline against Ruskin Park. Phil Evans and Matt Thomas crossed with Evans goaling both but Ruskin gained tries via Fisher (3), Moseley (2), Catherall and Farrelly with Foster landing three conversions and a penalty.

Sefton 3 Wigan 17

Wigan in Division Two finished 17-3 winners at Sefton where Simon Ward(2) and Peter Rigby crossed and Phil Carter kicked a conversion.

Sefton had to be content with a Phil Evans penalty.
