LSH in Share Option

Plans to return Liverpool St Helens into a limited company moved a step closer last night when a special members meeting gave a 10 per cent backing to the proposal.

Although still to be ratified in a fortnight, it will enable the club to sell shares at £500 each in a bid to raise £150,000. This will be used to wipe out any debts and then improve facilities at the Moss Lane club.

The idea for the limited company was originally suggested by former player Gary Chubb in partnership with current club centre Kevin Davies and was then carried on by a special working party.
