Bert Brownbill was born in West Derby in 1900 and played for  Sefton in the 1920's and 30's.

Sefton 'A' 1922/23

His ability for the stage was easily apparent when he was the star of a Sefton pantomime to raise funds in 1924 - "The Scummagers" 

Here is a brief montage of his roles in radio and theatre, he was still going strong in the late 1960's.
